Sarah Speak
My daughter has developed some words she uses instead of other words. Kind of like the blank tile in a Scrabble game can be used to substitute other letters. The new word is 'hoony', as in 'I will hoony (wrap) this rope around my finger' or 'This will hoony (hurt)' It's taking me a while to decipher this new language as sometimes she is not willing to provide the translation. I must say her language skills have improved dramatically the last 8 months. She had many words she used that were all her own, like 'wupert' for water. I thought that one was so cute I rarely corrected her!
